ONUR TUKEL is a filmmaker, writer/illustrator and occasional actor. He co-starred in Michael Tully’s feature film Septien playing the role of a damaged painter named Amos Rawlings. For Septien, Tukel created 65 pastel and ink drawings, which were exhibited at the Pennington Gallery in New York in July 2011. Tukel also co-starred in Alex Karpovsky’s feature film Red Flag, playing children’s book writer/illustrator Henry Holiday. Tukel’s first children’s book Little Friends was published in 2012 by Marshall Cavendish. Tukel recently wrote and directed the feature film Richard’s Wedding, which the Wall Street Journal claimed, \"Sets a new standard for laughs-per-minute in a micro-budget comedy.\" Tukel’s second children’s book Rainstack! was published by Two Lions in June, 2013. Tukel is currently directing an experimental feature film with musician Jamie Block. Later this year, Tukel will star in Berndt Mader’s new feature film, playing a journalist investigating a child sex ring in East Texas. Onur Tukel’s sixth feature film Summer of Blood will premiere at the 2014 Tribeca Film Festival.
