We are extremely thrilled to share that our amazing short Weekends by Trevor Jimenez has been nominated for the Academy Award for the best animated short film.
Weekends follows a young boy shuffling between the homes of his recently divorced parents. Surreal, dream-like moments mix with the domestic realities of a broken up family in this hand-animated film set in 1980’s Toronto.
Weekends was produced as part of Pixar’s co-op program, that enables artists to make use of company’s resources and produce independent films. The film has also been recently nominated for Annie Award for Best Animated Short Subject.
