DISCO by Jorunn Myklebust Syversen (Hoggeren) will have its World Premiere in TIFF’s Discovery section and European premiere in San Sebastian’s New Directors Competition!
The film stars Josefine Frida Pettersen, best known for her amazing performance in Norwegian series SKAM. She plays a role of disco dance champion and poster girl for evangelical movement who later on joins even more radical church.
DISCO was produced by Maria Ekerhovd of Tromso-based Mer Film (What Will People Say), who also produced Syversen’s s first feature, a comedy-drama Hoggeren.
