‘Julián’ Sets Distributors Across Key Territories Ahead of Annecy Premiere
Cartoon Saloon’s animated feature “Julián,” repped internationally by New Europe Film Sales, has closed deals in multiple territories ahead of its world premiere at Annecy next month. The film has sold to Canada (Elevation Pictures), UK (Elysian Films), Ireland (Wildcard Distribution), Denmark (Angel Films), Sweden (Folkets Bio), Norway (Arthaus), Poland (Young Horizons) and Benelux (Periscoop, Le Parc and JEF).
Directed by Louise Bagnall and executive produced by Zoe Saldaña and her sisters for Cinestar Pictures, the film follows a young boy who discovers his Caribbean heritage and dreams of becoming a mermaid during a summer with his grandmother in Brooklyn.
