Eva Pervolovici is a young Romanian director whose record already contains an impressive list of short films, video art, photographs and participation in the collective writing of novels or art magazines. Multiple in its forms and styles of expression, the heteroclite work of Eva always has the same intention: to make visible subjectivity by letting the surreal arise in everyday situations. Featured and awarded for originality in many festivals around the world, she also got an MFA Film Advance Practice (Edinburgh).
In 2010 she was nominated for the Berlin Today Award, which gave her the opportunity to direct LITTLE RED (world premier Berlinale 2011). Her work, LUBABEN, was shown in the official Tiger competition in Rotterdam 2011, while MINA was shown in Spectrum in the same festival. MARUSSIA, shot in Paris, is Eva’s first feature film. It had its world premiere at Berlinale 2013.
