Selma Vilhunen (b.1976) is a director and a screenwriter of both fiction and documentary films. She has graduated from the Turku Polytechnic / Arts Academy in film directing. Her works as a director include PIETA (TV film) and PONY GIRLS (follow-up documentary), which won the main prize in Tampere Film Festival. She has also written a feature film Homesick (with director Petri Kotwica) and A tv film Suburban virgin (dir. Hanna Maylett). She lives in Helsinki with her husband and daughter.
