Mick Robertson & Margaret Rose

MARGARET ROSE | CO-DIRECTOR
Margaret is a filmmaker from Toronto. In 2021, she produced both
“Drawing Circles,” (Chain Film Festival NYC) and “Notes on a Performance”
(finalist: Vancouver Independent Film Festival); she also starred in the
latter. In 2022, Margaret co-produced and acted in “How is the Dog,”
(Atlantic International Film Festival). In 2023, Margaret co-wrote and
performed in “Goblin High” (TIFF Next Wave 2024). As a producer, her most
recent project is the upcoming short film “A Moment Before We Sat” (dir.
Jennifer Law-Smith). Margaret made her directorial debut at TIFF 2024
with her short “Every Other Weekend,” co-directed with Mick
Robertson.

MICK ROBERTSON | CO-DIRECTOR
Born and raised in Ireland, Mick is a Toronto-based filmmaker. In 2019,
she starred in “I Am in the World As Free and Slender as a Deer on a
Plain,” (premiere: TIFF, notable award: TIFF Top 10 Canadian Film). In
2021, she wrote, directed, and produced her first narrative short,
“How is the Dog,” (premiere: Atlantic International Film Festival). In 2023,
she produced and co-wrote “Goblin High” (official selection:“TIFF Next
Wave”, winner: Best Editor). Most recently, Mick co-directed the short
film “Every Other Weekend,” with Margaret Rose, which premiered at
TIFF 2024.
