THE PEASANTS named Poland’s candidate for an Academy Award in the best foreign language film category!

THE PEASANTS, the latest film from LOVING VINCENT creators, has been announced as the Polish candidate for The Academy Awards®! This one-of-a-kind, oil-painted animation based on a Nobel Prize novel will run in the competition for The Best International Feature Film!

“The Peasants premiered as a Special Presentation at Toronto Film Festival earlier this month. It has since played at the Polish Film Festival in Gdynia, where it won the Special Jury Prize and Audience Award, and is headed to the London Film Festival, where its sessions October 11-12 have already sold out. The film will also play at the Hamptons and Busan festivals.” reports Deadline.
