Teemu Niukkanen, born 1978, is a Finnish director working solely within comedy genre. Niukkanen has distinguishable style of storytelling where deadpan meets mundane meets absurd meets humane comprehension – often accompanied with spot-on cinematography. Niukkanen has described his style being “bad taste done with good taste”.

Niukkanen’s first professionally produced short FUCKING BUNNIES premiered AT Sundance Film Festival 2017 and it has been awarded twelve times. Niukkanen’s second short ARE YOU HUNGRY? will has its world premiere in Toronto International Film Festival 2019.
